Renowned Brisbane solicitor Gary Lanham has left the Brisbane office of MinterEllison after almost 50 successful years at the helm of its Wills and Estates division. But he won’t be retiring from his practice of the law.
Gary has chosen to bring his practice, along with his significant case load, to boutique firm Paxton-Hall Lawyers.
Minter Ellison has given its blessing to the transition, deciding to close the doors on the work for strategic reasons, given Gary’s decision to follow a different path.
‘When I looked around for somewhere to take my valued clients, I really couldn’t go past PHL’, says Gary. ‘Paul Paxton-Hall and his team have a long-established practice that cares for people the way I do myself’.
Gary’s long-term paralegal, Narelle Allen will make the move with him. ‘Gary’s clients are like family to me. I am invested in continuing to look after them and their needs. I want to stay around and continue the work we are doing for them’.
The Paxton-Hall Lawyers partnership, which now includes Sharon Winn and Nicole Shenfield, is the perfect place to welcome Gary and Narelle.
‘I’ve known Gary and admired his work over many years’, says Paul Paxton-Hall. ‘He has an enviable reputation and we were thrilled that he chose to join us. We have an existing practice with the perfect balance of estate planning, commercial and tax expertise to assist his clients into the future’.
