Experience

Myles brings an unparalleled array of experience to the firm, blending 40 years of legal practice with a distinguished career as a foundational research scholar. He was the founding Director of The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) at QUT, and his extensive body of work includes over 800 published books, articles, and reports.

His expertise is further informed by extensive real-world experience, including nine years on the board of one of Australia’s largest charities. He has served on numerous national and international advisory boards, including the ACNC Advisory Board and the ATO Not-for-Profit Reference Group, and is a life member of Philanthropy Australia.

In 2003, Myles was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his service to the community in providing legal, financial, and administrative education and support to nonprofit organisations. He is dedicated to sharing his unique insight and expertise to help organisations navigate the sector’s complexities.
